Information About FIAP
FIAP is the short name of the Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique (International Federation of the Photographic Art). FIAP is a UNESCO-recognized organization. Founded in 1950 in Bern, Switzerland and currently headquartered in Luxembourg, FIAP is the largest photography federation in the world with members in 103 countries. Photographic Federations (OM) of countries become members of FIAP. The photography associations that are members of these federations also become FIAP members. Regional (IRFIAP) and local (ILFIAP) associations can also become FIAP members. The Photographic Arts Federation of Turkey (TFSF) is also a member of FIAP. FIAP member federations manage their relations with FIAP through a representative (Liaison Officer - LO). The FIAP Representative reviews and approves FIAP-approved competition applications in that country, sends them to FIAP, and manages the acquisition of FIAP Photographer Cards and FIAP titles.
